Mr. Herbert joined Bradley, Foster & Sargent as the Director of Sales & Marketing in June, 2003. He became a Principal of the firm in January, 2008. His responsibilities include developing relationships with prospective clients in our targeted markets, building a network of professional intermediaries to leverage the sales reach of the Company and to increase the visibility of the firm through seminars/events, presentations, marketing materials and the firm’s website. Prior to joining the Company, Charley had extensive sales and marketing experience with investment and financial services companies across the country, including Frank Russell Investment Management, Nicholas Applegate Capital Management, and CIGNA Financial Services. He has achieved the designation of Certified Financial Planner - CFP ®.


 

 

Kara L. Dowling

Ms. Dowling joined Bradley, Foster & Sargent in July, 2008 as a Portfolio Manager and Member of the Investment Committee. Ms. Dowling leads the Company's Women's Initiative which is focused on providing financial education and access to investment professionals for women. Ms. Dowling has broad experience in the investment business.  She started her investment career in 1995 with Goldman Sachs in New York, where she was involved in equities research and finance, including the analysis of companies’ operating performance, capital structures and value drivers as well as constructing models for IPOs and secondary offerings.  Most recently, Ms. Dowling served as the Director of Program Development for the St. Francis Hospital Foundation of Saint Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT, where she was responsible for Foundation communications and donor relations programs.
