Mr. Gilbert joined Bradley, Foster & Sargent in September, 2014 as a Principal and Executive Vice President. As Director of Research, his primary responsibility is to create an effective organizational structure and process for the Bradley, Foster & Sargent Research Department. Other responsibilities include enhancing the investment performance of the firm’s Portfolio Managers through high-quality, quantitative, and fundamental research and analysis. Mr. Gilbert oversees the Research Department and assists in supervising the investment projects of Bradley, Foster & Sargent interns. Mr. Gilbert has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years. Most recently, he was the Chief Investment Officer of New England Asset Management (NEAM), a subsidiary of General Reinsurance, located in Hartford, CT. He headed NEAM’s equity business since joining the firm in 1987 and was a member of the firm’s Policy Committee and Board of Directors. Prior to joining NEAM, Mr. Gilbert was an equity portfolio manager and research analyst at CIGNA Investments, Inc. Mr. Gilbert is a CFA® Charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant.
